AVID Math 8: Mr. Fontaine

Here at SCMS, I teach eighth grade AVID, Algebra I, and Algebra Honors. In addition, I am the Mathematics Department Chair and coach boys’ basketball. I have an adamant belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes exploration.  There is a frequent disconnect for students between mathematics, and its relevancy to the real world.  My mission as a teacher is to make school enjoyable, exiting, and relatable. I look forward to working with you and your child.
